Program Overview

M.A. in Social Work is a two years program offered at Postgraduate level. This course focuses on helping individuals, families and communities to solve social problems. In this course students will understand social issues such as poverty, unemployment, child welfare, women empowerment, child welfare, women empowerment, and more. They also gain practical training through fieldwork and community visits. 

The main aim of the course is to prepare students to become professional social workers who can support people in need and bring positive changes. It helps students develop important skills like communication, problem solving and leadership. MIU admission to M.A. in Social Work requires bachelor degree from a recognised university with minimum of 50% marks. MIU offers the course in full time mode of education. The MIU’s degree is recognised by the UGC and AIU.  After completing the degree graduates can work in NGOs, hospitals, schools and government organizations.
