Our love for education and knowledge has made it a hub for quality education during the last few decades. I always thank my people for their revered effort of making education a priority. The establishment of Manipur International University was a historic phase for all of us.

The serene beauty of our State Manipur has made it one of the most famous tourist destinations in the country. We prefer to stay away from the limelight, but Manipur’s quiet natural beauty has made it a center of attraction.

MIU was established to bring a world-class academic environment straight to Manipur. With the prospect of high-level research work, the University ensured that quality education should remain within the reach of common local people. People from Manipur and other states can access and afford education of global standard. Earlier, the talented students from Northeast had to migrate to major metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai or Bengaluru or even abroad—to access premium higher education and research infrastructure.
