The course takes three years to complete at MIU with a syllabus divided into six semesters. In this course students will learn about Manipuri grammar, poetry, drama, folklore and famous writers. They also study tradition, customs and culture. At Manipur International University students must have a minimum of 12th grade qualification with 50% marks. Through this course students improve their reading, writing, speaking and research skills in Manipuri language. MIU curriculum will include both theoretical and practical learning. B.A. in Manipuri prepares students for careers as Teachers, Writers, Translators, Journalists, Researchers, and Cultural Officers.
